Tonic is based on simple, root philosophies. We share a love of surfing, taking care of our mind, body and the environment we love to play in. Over time, sun and saltwater had taken a toll on my hair. Not eager to sacrifice good surf or style, I set out on a mission to develop a line of quality, environmentally-friendly hair care products specifically formulated for those who love being in the outdoors.
And so the birth of Tonic.
Growing up with a last name of Otonicar, the name Tonic was the obvious choice. My family is my keynote; they are a continual source of inspiration and remain spiritually, physically and morally invigorating. Tonic is a gift to my family.
Launching Tonic has proven to be an amazing journey. I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with some of the most talented and innovative leaders in the hair care and surfing industries, including legendary photographer Aaron Chang. Tonic products are formulated to be 100% earth-friendly, free of harmful parabens, sulfates and designed for those who love sun, surf and style.
